Good 'dog money for Tipsarevic against Nieminen and Gulbis against Vik in St. Petersburg. I wouldnt be taking the short price either fave with the strong support for both dogs.

Bad week to be betting in my opinion, as these three tournaments are squeezed in between two Masters Series events. There could very easily be a lot of money lost also.

Bad beat you had there with Gabashvili. He wins the first set and is serving for the match at 5-3 in the second and ends up losing the match in three.

This could be a very long week.:nohead:

It can.

Looking at a 2 team parlay with the 2 russians today.....Kunitsyn and Korolev.

Whatcha think? I might add Massu OR Grosjean to make it a little better payout.

What are your thoughts?

There was some money for Korolev early and he has remained steady since while Kunitsyn has been strongly fancied in the betting. Always tough to bt against the Russians on their home soil, especially when there could be stronger forces at hand offcourt. Remember Konstantin Kravchuk v HT. Lee anyone?

Kunitsyn had a great tourny at the Kremlin Cup two weeks back making the semi finals, but his form prior to that was pretty ordinary having lost 5 matches in a row. In saying that, on his home turf he should be too good for Phau, and I lean to him a lot stronger than I do Korolev in his match against Hernych.

Massu is a classy player in my opinion and he should be too strong for Kim while a Frog v Frog match in France can be tough, but Mathieu is too inconsistent for me even though Grosjean has had an ordinary year by his standards.

In saying all that, I think if you take the shortest of the two at each tourny and have a Kunitsyn/Massu parlay then you should get the cash.

In regards to Peer and Bartoli, im a little surprised that the line on Peer is that high. Bartoli had a great 4 week period recently, and I am surprised that Peer is as short as she is. Peer has failed to consolidate the form and promise she showed last year and I wouldnt be rushing to take -225 about her Bartoli.

Thanx! I appreciate the input. WTA is so foreign to me.

I parlayed Massu and the 2 russians for a small payout.

I think Soderling can lose to the frenchmen today.

I generally dont like to play the WTA either as there can be far too many variables. Plus, with so many service breaks it can make some of the matches a bit of a toss up. Bartoli has been in great form the past month and my only concern was with her form being so good, she has played a lot of tennis recently. Aside from beating Hingis a couple of weeks ago, Peer's form has been just OK, and in my opinion -225 doesnt represent any value.

Soderling's form has been very strong recently and he might be a little flat after playing a close one against the Fedman last week, and having his eye on the Masters event next week. He should probably win, but there are only a few players that warrant being -800, and in my opinion, Mr Soderling isnt one of them.

I dont like to do too much betting after the US Open as a lot of the tournaments are small, and players are receiving appearance money and are at the end of a very long season. Even worse, when the smaller tournaments are sandwiched in between Masters Series events and some players are disappointed at their previous weeks showing, and have their eyes set ona tournament two weeks away.

Case in point, we have two completed matches and two faves ( and one -400 ) have lost, and the third fave ( Vik -300 down to -230 ) is being forced to a third set TB.

Agreed...thats why its always good to take the HOME players in these tournies.

We saw it with Pim Pim in Sweden 2 weeks aog.

And with a few of the Austrians that week.

Great call on Dlouhy, shame Gabash couldnt stop from choking otherwise you would have been on fuego and kicking ass. Always nice to start the week off on a winning note and give yourself a bank to pay with.

See the money was right for Gulbis against Vik. Another short price fave bites the dust. 3 matches finished in Russia three dogs win.

Could be a very long weekski in St. Petersburgski

Hopefully the same guys who were on Kravchuk the other week will throw their considerable weight behind your two Ruskies. If thats the case you might as well get in the queue and collect now.

I got a little something out of the Gulbis match, and he did the right thing by winning the first set. Rather than betting those dogs outright, I like to lay the favourite winning in straight sets. Not as much value, but you dont have to work as hard for a result.
